Staff profiles

Miss Genevieve has been dancing since she was three years old and has not stopped! She has studied many different forms of dance extensively including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, cheerleading and hip hop and has been teaching for the last seven years. She currently holds Certificate 4 in Dance Teaching Studies, and has trained in both RAD and ADAP classical ballet. Miss Genevieve has been part of many winning eisteddfod groups and is known for choreographing awesome routines for studios in the Illawarra and Southern Highlands.


Miss Samantha began dancing when she was five and has been teaching dance for thirteen years. She has extensive experience in hip hop, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, and cheerleading. Miss Samantha was part of the Newtown High School Performing Arts dance ensemble, and was awarded 'Dancer of the Year' at K&V Dance.Co, and Most Outstanding Jazz Dancer at Cronulla Eisteddfod in her younger years. Samantha has also participated in numerous exams (BDA syllabus) and eisteddfods as both a soloist and troupe member with great success! She has also trained under international Hip Hop choreographer, Rachel Mant, and is known more recently for her dynamic and highly successful eisteddfod routines.








Miss Samantha and Miss Genevieve have together forged a name for themselves in the Illawarra Dance and Cheerleading scene. They coached cheerleading at the Lake Illawarra PCYC for 3 years, and were an integral part of the University of Wollongong Dance Club for 6 years, holding positions as president and secretary. They also competed with at both National and International Cheerleading Competitions!

In 2006, after opening NRG Studios, Miss Samantha & Miss Genevieve continued their success by taking their NRG Showteam to local and Sydney Eisteddfods. These routines placed highly at every eisteddfod, and put NRG Studios on the map! NRG were also commissioned to choreograph a professional '007' themed floorshow for the Annual Unicentre Dinner. This was also a great year for the "Energize Cheerleaders". They performed at Wollongong Wolves homegames, IMB Hawks Basketball games and other community and sporting events!

In 2007, Miss Samantha & Miss Genevieve expanded their dance studio to include many new styles of dance, and over 300 students enrolled! 2007 continued the NRG Showteams' success in eisteddfods and many Showteam members competed as soloists taking out first place in their sections! The Energize Cheerleading team grew to a whopping 80 team members, and put on an astounding professional show at the IMB Hawks Basketball game on Nov 9th to an appreciative crowd.

2008 brings with it many exciting opportunties! NRG now operates out of TWO studio rooms to accomodate the influx of students. Samantha & Genevieve are positive that 2008 will be the best year at NRG yet! With over 300 students and 120 cheerleaders enrolled in 2008, it is sure to be an exciting year!
